We are finishing up our survey of European history. We have covered the following events: World War I, the Russian Revolution, World War II, the Cold War, and German reunification. Our Unit 3 Test will be given this Friday (Nov. 22) and the students were given the study guide for their test today during class. They were given the class period to work on it and they may turn it on the day of the test, COMPLETED, for an extra five points on the Unit 3 Test. I am attaching a digital copy of the study guide here just in case anyone loses their copy they got today in class. Tomorrow, I will attaching the study guide answers so that you may check your own answers on your study guide. Tomorrow is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) day in my class so that we may review as a class for the test on Friday. Keep in mind as well that my kahoot games are accessible all year for help reviewing. Just search my username: jhoover2 and you should find all of the ones that I have created. You may play them to practice as much as you would like!
We are finishing up our examination of World War I and have moved into discussing the events leading up to World War II as well as the war itself. We took a quiz over WWI information and we will be taking a quiz over the Russian Revolution this coming Monday (Nov. 11). Please make sure you are reviewing the four answers below for the quiz that we are having on Monday! The quiz on Monday will consist of five questions.
Reviewing the Section Answers 1. During World War I, millions of people were killed, wounded, or missing. Most Russian citizens did not have enough food. Soldiers did not have enough clothes, shoes, or weapons. The czar ignored signs of his subjects’ hunger and desperation. 2. Vladimir Lenin was the leader of the Russian Revolution. He represented the Bolshevik Party. 3. Russia became the Soviet Union. 4. Communist policies disintegrated the Soviet Union from within as the failed policies and restrictions of individual rights eventually led to the downfall. |
